ONE & SMAS launch food and drink manufacturing academy | ONE

Developed by private sector economic development body Opportunity North East (ONE) and the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS), the Food & Drink Manufacturing 4.0 Academy will support food and drink businesses who are exploring digital manufacturing and process improvement to develop an action orientated practical roadmap that sets out the ‘Factory of the Future’ journey for their business.

The programme is delivered over six workshops over a three month period and includes two one-to-one consultations in delegates’ own business. Peer-to-peer learning is a major element of the programme and it is based around visits to north east food and drink businesses, including Farmlay, Mackies and Dean’s, to see how others have invested in digital manufacturing to reshape processes.

• Workshop 1 – 22 May
• Workshop 2 – 29 May
• Workshop 3 – 5 June
• Workshop 4 – 19 June
• Workshop 5 – 26 June
• Workshop 6 – end of August (to be confirmed)
