New energy supply chain digitalisation programme launched

A new Energy Supply Chain Digitalisation programme, led by ONE in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, will help increase digitalisation within energy sector SMEs to create a more efficient and competitive supply chain through optimising OPEX, driving innovation, and consolidating economic benefits.

While the pace of digital adoption has accelerated rapidly over the last year, the first major survey of digitalisation in the oil and gas industry recently revealed a strong appetite for action to catalyse further digitisation.

Through a series of workshops, held over five weeks, participants will learn how to proactively manage a digitally supported business growth strategy. The programme will give them the knowledge and understanding of the potential of existing and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and competitiveness, and support business growth. With successful digitalisation as much about culture as technology participants will also focus on non-technology related barriers such as organisation, people, culture, and leadership.

Following the programme, companies will have the opportunity to form connections across the regional tech sector, broadening their exposure to digital solutions and expertise with the goal being to drive entrepreneurship through mentor matching within the digital community.
