There is an exciting new opportunity to join North East Adventure Tourism (NEAT) to support the development of the mountain biking and adventure tourism industry across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
NEAT aims to capitalise on north east Scotland’s natural assets and make the region a world-class destination for adventure sports tourism. The project is funded and supported by Opportunity North East (ONE), Scottish Enterprise, Aberdeenshire Council, VisitAberdeenshire and Scottish Cycling.
The MTB & Adventure Tourism Development Co-ordinator will support the delivery of the NEAT project and aid the growth of the adventure tourism market by increasing the visibility and awareness of the region’s strengths and potential, and developing and unifying the product offering through increased collaboration. The successful applicant will liaise closely with the staff team at Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS) and ONE to ensure coordination of activity and work with numerous partner agencies, groups and businesses to ensure future opportunities are realised.
The NEAT project will develop the skills agenda, support innovation in small businesses and invest in local communities to sustainably develop the economic contribution that mountain biking and adventure tourism makes across the region.
