The private sector loan fund established by ONE and the Andrew Salvesen Family Trust in 2019 has reached a significant milestone.
The ONE Enterprise Fund has approved more than £1 million of interest-free loans to 30 ambitious businesses working in digital tech, energy, food and drink, life sciences and sustainability.
The evergreen fund is fuelling investment in new technology, high-value manufacturing, production capacity, and jobs at critical business growth points. It has also helped early-stage ventures secure equity investment.
“The fund is highly differentiated because the loans are interest-free, and we don't take equity or shares in the businesses. The return on investment we seek is business growth and economic contribution," said Kevin Milne, chair of the ONE Enterprise Fund Assessment Panel.
