Founders share the impact of disciplined entrepreneurship

ONE continues to strengthen and build the entrepreneurial ecosystem with partners. Inspiring ambition and equipping founders and business leaders with the insights, knowledge, skills, tools, mentoring, and peer support to create and scale innovation-led businesses.

Entrepreneurs from the north east were brought to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, to explore disciplined entrepreneurship. The programme’s disciplined entrepreneurship is a systematic and rigorous 24-step framework, created at MIT to help first-time and repeat entrepreneurs build new innovation-based ventures. Providing invaluable tools for growth, helping founders create strategies, focusing on customer value, and aiming to grow globally.

Iain Taylor, Co-founder at Chorus, Luis Ibarra, Founder and CEO at eCERTO and Scott Fraser, Founder at Angus and Oink participants in the programme said:

ONE vision is to double high-value life sciences companies, grow the digital tech cluster from 7% to 15%, put food and drink manufacturing at the forefront of premium market development and process innovation, and expand sustainable adventure tourism. Together with regional and national partners, ONE aims to make entrepreneurship a driving force for economic transformation.

The Regional Entrepreneurial Development Programme (EDP) is central to this vision.

ONE and partners attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston for an intensive Entrepreneurship Development Programme providing the ecosystem with steps to disciplined entrepreneurship, common language, valuable tools, and actionable skills to drive entrepreneurship.
